The peroxodiphosphoric acid denoted by PDP ( = H4P2O8, H3P2O8–, H2P2O82–, HP2O83– and P2O84–) was formed through the phosphoric radical (H2PO4·) by the reaction between phosphinate ion ( PH2O2– ) and molecular oxygen ( O2 ). The PDP formation reactions were occured by the auto-catalyzed reaction mechanisms containing the radicals. Such the auto-catalyzed reactions were greatly accelerated by the induced-redox catalyzers of Cu (II), Cr (VI), and [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (= a photo-catalysis). From combinig the auto-catalyzed reactions containing the redox couples of PH2O2– / PH2O2· and O2 /O2– with the redox-chain couples of Mn+/ M(n–1)+, the former reactions were extremely accelerated by the latter redox-chain couples of Mn+/ M(n–1)+ which are called as the homogeneous induced catalysis (or catalyzer and catalyst).
