The condensation kinetics of 1,1,3,3,3 pentamethyldisiloxan-lol in toluene solution were studied for three cyclotriphosphazene derivatives compounds bearing phenoxy groups and bearing one or two NPCl3 groups. For the three species, a second-order rate law in monomer was found. The catalytic activities observed with these modified cyclophosphazene were lower than the one observed with Cl3PNP(O)Cl2 or [Cl3PNPCl3]+[SbCl6]-.
