SrNiZn(PO₄)₂ is isostructural to SrNi₂(PO₄)₂. The lattice parameters are: a=5.4560 (10), b=6.7110 (10), c=9.1820 (10), =110.600 (10), =101.100 (10), P-1, Z=2 for 1009 independent reflections, R1=6.98, wR=7.03. The structure consists of sheets made of edge-sharing [NiO₆] and [ZnO₅] polyhedra. In the title compound, Ni ions are forming dimers [Ni₂O₁₀] with short d_Ni__Niof 3.006 Å.
