FORMATION MECHANISM OF BRANCHING STRUCTURE IN PHOSPHATE GLASSES PREPARED BY MICROWAVE HEATING

Abstract

We prepared 15BaO-10PbO-5SrO-70P₂O₅ glasses by temperature -controlled microwave heating and measured ³¹P MAS NMR spectra to investigate the manner of appearance of Q₃ band which indicates the presence of branching structure. It is found that the Q₃ band appears in the glasses prepared over 700°C.
