REACTION OF α-AND γ-CYCLODEXTRIN WITH CYCLO-TRIPHOSPHATE

In an aqueous solution, α- and γ-cyclodextrin (α- and γ-CD) reacted with inorganic sodium cyclo?triphosphate hexahydrate (P_3m), Na₃P₃O₉·6H₂O, to form a triphosphate derivative and three monophosphate derivatives of α-and γ-CD, of which the secondary hydroxyl groups were phosphorylated. The maximum yields of phosphorylated products of α- and γ-CD were 22.6 and 19.0 %, respectively.
