In thin layer chromatography of condensed phosphates, not ionic valence, but total of partial charge on O atoms of each structural unit, determines Rf values (from the examination of the influence of the pH value of the developing solvents on these values). In anion-exchange resin colomn chromatography of condensed phosphates, not only ionic interaction, but also screen effect of resins, determine the elution volumes (from the study of the influence of degree of crosslinking of resins on ion-exchange equilibria).
