The present study is focusing on the damage to health care facilities in the 2004 Niigata-ken Chuetsu Earthquake. Questionnaire survey was conducted for the hospitals suffering damage by the earthquake. The relation between malfunction of the hospitals and damage to structures and lifelines was investigated.
