Abstract
This study is to investigate the amount and composition of garbage which is to be transferred to a sewage system from a solid waste management where garbage grinder were installed.The following results were obtained.
1) The ratio of garbage transfer was not 100% even after garbage grinder installation, 100- 150g/cap/day was input and around 100g/cap/day remained at a garbage dump.
2) Among garbage grinder installation houses, almost 10% do not use everyday and about 30% do not input allthe garbage into a garbage grinder.
3) There were some types of garbage which can not be clearly recognized as disposable.
4) There was no significant difference between composition of garbage processed by garbage grinder and not.
