Usefulness of electrophysical agents for disease treatmen

Abstract

Electrophysical agents are a rehabilitation treatment for various diseases. Although electrophysical agents are an effective treatment method for pain management and other conditions, such as muscle recovery after surgery and disuse disability,few studies show scientific evidence confirming the efficacy of electrophysical agents. In this study, we examined the usefulness of electrophysical agents for treating osteoarthritis, lower back pain, cancer, severe cerebrogenic movement disorders, and feeding and swallowing disorders. The effectiveness of electrophysical agents was reported in each disease,and they are recommended in rehabilitation treatments. However, further evidence is needed to verify the effectiveness of electrophysical agents.
