Numerical calculation of flow and bed deformation including shock wave is one of the important tools in the practical river engineering works. Flux Difference Splitting, FDS, scheme is one of the numerical method to simulate the flow with shock wave. In this method, the theory of nonlinear characteristic wave and the concept of numerical flux are taken into account and it is very easy to be applied to various condition of open channel flow. In this paper, FDS scheme for two dimensional flow is applied to two dimensional open channel flow and bed deformation. In this method, the characteristic wave direction when the flow and bed deformation affects to each other is taken into account. The proposed model is applied to experimental conditions and the calculated results are favorably compared with the experimental ones.
