In this study, a simplifiedu nconsolidatedl ayer model was produced, and a series of preliminarye xperimentsw as carriedo ut for a wider ange for confinings tressesa ctingo n unconsolidatedla yer actually, a nd then the dependence of the strengtho f the unconsolidatedla yer model on the ice block size, the ice block shape and the shear deformation rate was investigated
