Abstract
Fossil plants from the Tusen coal-mines. Kôgen-dô, Tyôsen, were once enumerated by T. ICHIMURA in this roport on the geology of the said coal-field (1928); these are listed in Table VII. The fossil flora is very rich one and the number of its species is now increased to 26 by the recent collection of the present writer, which belong to 20 genera as shown on Table VI. The flora bears a close affinity to those of the Kantindô formation of the Meisen district (Table II, III) and of Tyôhôri, Kankyô-nan-dô(Table VIII); these three may be almost contemporaneous, if not the Kantindô flora slightly younger than the other two. The Kantindô flora is Middle Miocene in age, as stated in Part I
