Abstract
Life cycle of a product covers consecutive stages including manufacture, transportation, sale, usage and maintenance, reuse and disposal. Modern market is a global market. Product in different local markets will have to face different peculiarities, including user requirement, price expectation, usage habit and even government environmental policy. When designing a new product, the difference of market and technology has to be taken into consideration. In this research, a life cycle model with the market parameter and technology development is built, and copier is used as case study to analyze design policy for products of different technology level in different markets. Then manage to get a basic theory of optimization design method.
