A Study on Particle Swarm Optimization using Projection of Gradient Vector

Abstract

Particle Swarm Optimization method is one of the powerful optimization methods and have abilities to be applied for many design problem because of its simplicity. However, some problems are recognized for treatment of behavior constraints. The difficulties for setting parameter including its algorithms and treatment of behavior constrains are the above–mentioned problems.
In this study, we have applied the projection method in gradient projection method to PSO. Through some numerical examples, we have confirmed effectiveness of the proposed method.
