Abstract
In recent years, many STEP standards have been developed by the efforts of experts about the product model data. However, in the STEP standard, it is necessary to describe the data model by the EXPRESS language, and it has become the hindrance of database implementation of the STEP standard. Therefore, in this research, the method of creating an UML model from an EXPRESS model with an EXPRESS-UML model transformation tool, in order to implement a STEP database, and validity, a problem, etc. of the method are reported.
