Development and Use of Arc Welding Case Database Using XML

Abstract

Arc Welding Case Database is proposed based on the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Record (PQR). The data is defined and processed in XML and can also be used as application program interface. A decision support system to determine sound welding conditions and to improve the quality of welding processes is developed to evaluate the effectiveness of the case database at the shop, in which data search is extended those on the Internet.
