Abstract
It is effective to use an ultra-precision lathe with a piezoelectric actuator based fast tool servo for mass production of optical lenses. Machining micro-scale patterns of surfaces has been mainly performed due to very small displacement of actuators. In this research, the ultra-precision lathe with a dual-actuator is designed for long displacement of the tool, and the coupled vibration by the input and the disturbance is analyzed. For the actuators, the possibility of movement against the blocked force is analyzed. Then, the total vibration simulation and the machining simulation are performed and evaluated.
