Study on gate design method of die-casting molding

Abstract

In case of the die-casting mold design, the determination process of the position and size of the gate and the melting metal pool are important process. These process are usually carried out by the engineers based on their wealth of experience and knowledge. It is also truth that the repeated modifications of mold structure are needed in try stage,and major cause of the delay in manufacturing schedule. In this research, automatic die-casting mold design system utilizing CAE technology is proposed to improve the productivity of them.
