Abstract
The detection of a rolling bearing fatigue failure had depended on the experience of the engineer, while recently the standard for failure detection has required the objective standard and many parameters have been suggested. This study used signal data of the compound sensing system developed by MSD Research Group and analyzed the acoustic emission and vibration from the viewpoint of statistical control of quality using Mahalanobis generalized distance. This report discusses that we could indicate objectively the nature of acoustic emission and vibration in analyzing the standard deviation of basic statistics that form the basis of parameters and correlation between the acoustic emission and vibration.
