Abstract
The design considering product performance within tolerance will be required to produce better product. Statistical tolerance indices are useful tools for the performance design. To decide statistical tolerance indices, it is needed to know the relationship between statistical tolerance indices and product performance. In this study, it is assumed that performance model is normal distribution within tolerance and product is composed of simple parts. Then estimated value and standard deviation of performance are calculated and associated with statistical tolerance indices Cp, Cpk, Cc and Cpm.
