Re-polishing of a used Japanese lacquer paint article

Abstract

Re-polishing of the Japanese lacquer paint table of 40 years ago was tried. It is a worn-out table, the surface also has been covered with many scratches and lost an original gloss. In order to come back again to a mirror-like surface, the polishing powders and pads which can be obtained easily were used, especially without adhering to a traditional technique. Old Japanese lacquer paint table has been found to be re-polished to a mirror-like surface under such conditions as not using a very fine abrasive powder.
