Abstract
This paper proposes a navigation system for the remote control of the mobile robot. The remote–controlled robot developed this time is a mobile robot installed the remote–controlled device, and it can move in all the directions. The function of communication is a client server system. The user interface for operating the remote–controlled robot implements two main functions. One of the functions of those is ″a display of external images acquired with the camera″, this camera can perform operation of pan and tilt. Another one is ″a display of positions using a 3–dimensional map″. Since an operator can grasp the present situation easier, and executes remotely control exactly.
