Abstract
In recent years, high-end CAM software is needed for complicated or high precision machining. However, it requires a lot of skills for selecting functions and setting various parameters.In this study, we developed the operation planning support system that manages the machining information by using XML technology, and presents recommended functions and parameters using case data of machining.The support system allows engineer the efficient operation planning without experience. As a result, the developed system enabled us to determine the appropriate cutting condition based on the case data of similar machining, only inputting fundamental product information.
