Abstract
When ferrous material is cut by diamond tool, it is well known that a diamond tool is worn severely. The purpose of this research work is to machine a diamond by utilizing this wear. However, the shape on the machining surface of the ferrous material is deformed by cutting with diamond. Then, this deformed shape is transformed to the surface of diamond. As a result, the desired shape of diamond is not obtained. The ferrous material shaped its surface by another shaping tool to improve the deformation. This shaping of ferrous material surface is carried out while processing the diamond. Therefore the shaped surface of ferrous material is transformed to the diamond. A machine tool for this research is designed and assembled by myself. And the desired flat shape of diamond is obtained by the experiment with this machine tool.
