Abstract
The objective of this research is to investigate the small-batch size fabrication of the low-rigidity parts. Because of the utility in usual machine shop, end milling with non-dedicated fixture is employed to realize the objective. In this paper, a framework for the small-batch size endmilling is proposed. In the framework, three important functionalities are focused: workholding planning, workholding inspection and operation planning. The paper also described the details and investigation of the functionalities.
