Abstract
The purpose of this study is to fabricate micro pipe of boron carbide. The mixture of carbon and boron powder is irradiated by a laser beam. A hole is formed at the central portion of the laser beam on the powder surface. Boron carbide is producted around the hole. The ratio of the boron powder and carbon powder is examined for the content of the boron carbide in the micropipe. After mixing the powder, two types of the preparation before the irradiating are performed. One is the compacting the mixture and the other is the slurry with ethanol. These two methods are compared on the shapes of the micopipes.
