Abstract
In this study, dual spray MQL turning system is proposed, in which two types of oil mists are supplied to rake and flank faces of the tool respectively. The cutting characteristics are evaluated by cutting force, tool temperature and tool wear. In turning of stainless steel, relatively good result are obtained when oil-based mist is supplied to chip-rake interface and water-soluble mists is sprayed on the flank face at the same time.
