Abstract
The present research aims to measure holes such as rotary shaft holes of a jet engine and a bullet train whose diameters vary at the millimeter scale in the longitudinal direction. Firstly, a measurement system is designed and developed to measure the accuracy of a hole with a meter-scale depth and diameter varying at millimeter-scale. The probe consists of a steppingmotor, worm, wormwheeland lifting bar. Secondly, measurement unit which can measure a hole with diameter varying 70 to 168 mm is made and used for experiment for performance test. Experimental results show that the measurement unit can work for measuring hole-diameter varying at millimeter-scale.
