Abstract
The author proposes a method of generating satin-finished surface pattern over a wide area on a PC without using mass surface ruggedness data. With this method, first images of a wide area of satin-finished surface and surface irregularity data of a narrow area are prepared. Next template matching is carried out on both the images and data, and the satin-finished patterns are generated. After this, CL data of the wide area of satin-finished surface patterns is prepared, and the patterns are milled on the surface. In this study, surface accuracy was also investigated.
