Generating surface mesh of tempo-spatial CT volumetric images

Abstract

In this research we introduce a method for generating surface mesh of tempo-spatial volumetric CT images. Our approach is to interpolate points of surface mesh generated for the volumetric CT images in the direction of their moving direction. The moving direction is obtained as a vector field for these points by calculating the energy function of similarity between two consequent images at their locations, and minimizing this energy function thus neighbor points has similar moving direction using graph cuts algorithm.
