Abstract
We proposed CT image segmentation using structural analysis, which is useful for the object with structural dynamic characteristics. We introduce concept of destruction to segmentation by iterating structural analysis and pixel removal. However, we have to do trial and error in boundary condition setting. In this report, we solve boundary condition setting problem. Main contribution of this report is to optimize boundary condition for CT image segmentation. By using gradient ascent, we maximize the sum of the von Mises strain in given region of interest, where the interference region is and we want to decompose object. Indeed, we demonstrate CT image segmentation by using CT image of skeleton under optimized boundary condition.
