Abstract
The present study aims to measure small sized holes with diameters of 17 to 24 mm and depth of 1 m. The system consists of a laser interferometer to detect hole accuracy, a probe connected to a measurement bar and an optical apparatus to detect probe attitude (position and inclination). The probe is supported by skids. The probe position at the skids is continuously detected by the optical apparatus and compensated from the data acquired by the laser interferometer. In this study, the system was developed, and performance test was carried out. Experimental results show that deep hole with a diameter of 17.5 mm can be measured using the system. Measurement accuracy can be improved with theoretical compensation and improvement of the system.
