Abstract
Single-layered metal bond diamond wheels are suitable for grinding of flexible materials for easy to loading. Grinding performance of the wheels can improve by cutting edge setting on the suitable positions, but, positioning of abrasive grains has been carried out by handset in most cases. In this study, jumping flying characteristics of diamond abrasive grains by electrostatic charge are analyzed and we made a prototype of grain position controlled single-layered metal bond diamond wheel experimentally by the control technique of positioning diamond grains on the wheel surface based on these analyzing result.
