Abstract
A simplified color vision technique was explored to monitor the color change of water-soluble coolant. The aged degradation of coolant can be evaluated from the color change. The color of coolant could be distinguished by the combination of reflectance obtained from Red (660nm) Green (535nm) Blue (450nm) LED lights when LED lights are focused onto the glass cell filled with an easy-to-dye media and colored liquid. This color vision technique showed a similar performance to the case of monitoring the solid surface color.
