Abstract
Thrust force and torque detected in drilling process are converted to equivalent thrust force and principal force in this paper and, the static and dynamic component parameters of their resultant force are defined to evaluate the instability. Experiments with different conditions, work piece material, hole depth and wear, have been conducted and relations between the conditions and the parameters are discussed.
