Abstract
Profile shape evaluation by detecting tangential angles of the profile is competent for large objects because it does not need any shape references, which becomes difficult to be defined enough accurately as the object becomes large. We consider profile evaluation using a gyro for detecting the angles and demonstrated an angle detection by using a continuously rotating gyro around an axis perpendicular to its angular sensitive axis without being affected by fluctuations in the angular signal of the gyro by obtaining the second-order differences for the detected angles, where the method detects the angles of the rotating axis against the Earth rotating axis. Here, we consider methods for improving the accuracy of the detected angles by combining results for the rotating axis with the direction of +90 deg.
