Abstract
We attempted to design and build an induction heating and cooling mold for fluoro-elastomer multilayer compression molding as a new application of the induction heating and cooling mold. Using this mold where the upper and lower molds are able to control temperature independently, we conducted multi-layer molding experiments. It was confirmed that good multilayer molded products with no shape deformation can be molded at the interface of the two materials by two-step compression molding using this mold. This two-step compression molding was applied to processing of molded product with thin layer. It was confirmed to be able to form a multiple molded products with a thin layer up to at least 0.2 mm as the result.
