Abstract
We will develop a desktop type machine tool that can machine general steels at high precision while having small dimensions that can be installed on a table. Although machining a wide variety of small size parts is required due to the miniaturization of home appliances et al., machine tools used for processing are considerably larger than manufactured parts. This makes it difficult to set up a production line, and it also causes an increase in the size of the factory, resulting in an increase in energy consumption. The developed small size desktop type machine tool is hoped to make it easy to construct a compact line, contributing to realization of energy saving and multi-product variable production.
