The CFRP is the materials of a light-weight and a high strength. These excellent characteristics are expected by an automotive industry, and also are useful materials from the environmental point of view. On the other hand, processing of the CFRP has difficulty, and various kinds of processing methods were performed, and big expectation is applied to laser processing. The ultra-short pulse laser is inferior in productivity in comparison with an infrared laser, but the high-quality of cutting surface is obtained. In this report, the quality of the cutting surface was evaluated using the high output SHG-laser with nanosecond. As a result of the experiment, depth of thermally deteriorating with short pulse laser was obtained very small, it was less than 30μm.
