Abstract

In the 3-axis control machine tool, there is a limit to the constant surface quality with the creation of the curved surface shape. In this research, we aim at improvement of machined surface quality by using a method of synchronizing the straight advancing axis and the turning axis of a 5-axis controlled machine tool and making the feed velocity vector constant at the cutting point. We made circular cutting using cutting point feed velocity vector constant condition. As a result, it was found that the form shape error is reduced by using the forward feedforward control under the constant feed point velocity vector.
