In this research, we compare the new electrodischarge machining method called electrostatic induction feeding method with the axial machining ability of the conventional RC discharge method. In the electrostatic induction feeding method, the influence of the stray capacitance can be reduced more than the conventional RC discharge, and it is possible to ensure a pause time for each discharge. For this reason, we can avoid problems such as concentrated discharges during high speed machining, and showed that it is possible to process a thin shaft stably under the same condition of discharge energy.
