Abstract

It is known that the mechanical structure on the culture substrate affects the cells. The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of microstructure on cell adhesion. I conducted cell culture experiments on the microstructure and cell detachment experiments using microfluidics. The microstructure was fabricated on a glass substrate using MEMS method. The microfluidic channels made by PDMS were bonded to the microstructure substrate, and human lung cancer cells were seeded inside. The cells were observed under fluidic shear stress on the microstructure and on the glass substrate.
