Abstract

A flat plate placed on a non-planar vibration surface jumps due to a sudden increase in acoustic radiation force as the vibration amplitude increases. If the center of acoustic radiation force is located away from the center of gravity of the flat plate, the flat plate will turn over. This report examines through experiments the possibility of receiving a flat plate on the radiation surface without contact after the flipping operation. Experiments and sound field analysis revealed that strong radiation force is generated when a standing wave sound field is formed between the radiation surface and the flat plate and that radiation force must be controlled to be absorbed near the radiation surface.
