Abstract

Tensile tests, hardness tests, microstructural observations, and fracture surface observations were conducted on Inconel 625 sintered products produced using a metal 3D printer. The relative density of the sintered material was about 97%. Observation of the fracture surface after the tensile test revealed that the pores generated inside the sintered material were the starting point of fracture. It was suggested that pores may influence strength and elongation. Furthermore, a tensile test was conducted using test pieces formed by changing the scanning direction to confirm the presence or absence of anisotropy.
