Abstract

In the previous report, we identified the block processing time (Tb) and reported the successful implementation of high-speed and high-precision simultaneous 5-axis machining by creating a CNC program with the optimal block length based on the identified block processing time. In this study, we report that this optimal block length programming method can achieve high-speed, high-precision machining by being less susceptible to increases and decreases of acceleration/deceleration delay, tool center point (TCP) position, and speed differences between blocks than conventional programming methods.
