Quality Engineering & Taguchi Methods

Abstract

Difinitions of quality engineering is given in this article after much discussion on "quality". Core of quality engineering is how to measure functionality of product function but not experimental design technique to improve quality. The difference between quality engineering and Taguchi Methodsis also discussed to clarify misunderstandings of the Taguchi Methods.
