The feasibility of applying Mahalanobis Taguchi System (MTS) to the Fault Diagnosis Program (FDP) is being studied. In our previous paper, estimated errors were used as Items to calculate the Mahalanohis space, and the possibility of fault identification was studied. In this paper, fault detection was studied and to solve the problem of Item's high correlation, three methods were proposed and discussed.
