Abstract
In a super-hard alloy manufacturing process, stress remains in the alloy. Such residual stress causes some destructive phenomena such as fatigue. In order to explain such destructive phenomena, it is necessary to precisely measure the magnitude of residual stress. However, the measuring conditions have been set by the people who participate the measurement based on their expenence. In this paper, the measuring conditions of super-hard alloys using X-ray were optimized. As a result, the factors that affect the measuring conditions were identified, and the variability of measurement was reduced by a factor of 1.3.An additional benefit was that the life of X-ray tnbes were lengthened after lowering the x-ray current.
