Abstract
The feasibility of applying Mahalanobis Taguchi System (MTS) to the Fault Diagnosis Program (FDP) is being studied. It is a case study for a future Japanese spacecraft. In our previous papers (Part I and Part II), fault detection and identification using the state estimated errors, which were calculated from the output of a software called the Observer, were examined. .In this paper, the orthogonalization technique of the standard space was examined and applied to our standard space.
