Abstract
To quantitatively evaluate latent risks due to misoperation occurrence rates using past data. This paper focused on this problem and examined the procedure for systematically listing candidates of work system related misoperation causing factors based on the principles of foolproofing. The presented procedure was applied to three types of misoperation: i. e., omission, incorrect selection and wrong direction, in a printed circuit board assembly process. According to the results, it was found that the procedure was effective for listing essential misoperation causing factors without fail.
